  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 cup pure apple cider
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy (3–4 minutes).
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time followed by apple cider until smooth.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Scoop heaping tablespoons of dough onto prepared sheets and bake for 12–15 minutes until puffed and golden.
  7. Let cool on wire racks before filling with caramel sauce.
