  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp hot water
  • ½ cup ice cubes
  • ½ cup milk or milk alternative (such as oat or almond)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Brew two shots of fresh espresso using your preferred method.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar with hot water until dissolved into a syrup.
  3. Fill a shaker halfway with ice cubes, pour in the hot espresso and syrup, then shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  4. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice, add milk, and stir gently.
  5. Add vanilla extract, mix again, and enjoy! Optionally top with whipped cream or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
