  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (15 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 sandwich buns or hamburger rolls
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and garlic; sauté until fragrant and translucent (about 5 minutes).
  2. Stir in ground chicken, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned and no longer pink (7–10 minutes).
  3. Add crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Mix in shredded mozzarella cheese until melted.
  5. Toast the buns under the broiler for 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Spoon the chicken mixture onto each bun and top with grated Parmesan cheese before serving hot.
