Description

Indulge in these light and airy chocolate meringue nests, filled with colorful candies—perfect for celebrating Easter with family and friends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 4 oz dark chocolate (melted)
  • Mini eggs or colorful candies for filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 225°F (110°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a clean bowl, whip egg whites until frothy. Gradually add sugar while beating until stiff peaks form (5-7 minutes).
  3. Gently fold in cocoa powder without deflating the mixture.
  4. Spoon meringue onto the baking sheet, creating circular nests with an indent in the center (about 2 inches high).
  5. Bake for 1 hour until dry but soft inside. Allow cooling completely on the sheet before removing.
  6. Drizzle melted dark chocolate over cooled nests and fill with mini eggs or candies.
