  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides (about 2-3 minutes per side). Remove with tongs.
  6. Toss warm donuts in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon until fully coated.
  7. Melt chocolate chips in short bursts in the microwave; drizzle generously over donuts.
