- 3 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water (or milk for richness)
- 1 package (3 oz) gelatin powder (any color)
- 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping
- 1/4 cup sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix the vanilla cake mix, water, eggs, and vegetable oil until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Once cooled slightly, poke holes across the cake surface with a fork.
- In separate bowls, dissolve gelatin powder in boiling water and pour evenly over the holes in the cake.
- Chill completely before spreading whipped topping on top. Cover and refrigerate for at least two hours.
- Decorate with sprinkles before serving.
