  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  2. Melt the unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over low heat; let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, mix melted butter with both sugars until smooth. Whisk in eggs until fully incorporated.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, ginger, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients until just combined; do not overmix.
  5. Fold in chopped walnuts if desired.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean but moist.
