Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup raw peanuts
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and corn syrup, stirring continuously until bubbly and golden brown.
  3. Add butter, mixing until melted, then stir in peanuts to coat evenly.
  4. Cook while stirring until the mixture reaches a deep amber color (about 300°F).
  5. Remove from heat and quickly mix in baking soda and salt; expect bubbling.
  6. Pour the hot mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading it evenly before it cools.
  7. Once cooled, break into pieces and enjoy!
