Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a cupcake tin with paper liners.

2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

3. In another bowl, mix vegetable oil and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in buttermilk and vanilla.

4. Stir in food coloring until combined. Gradually add dry ingredients; mix until just combined.

5. Fill liners two-thirds full and bake for about 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

6. Allow cupcakes to cool before frosting with cream cheese frosting.
