  • 1 cup instant polenta
  • 1/2 cup grated fresh Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  2. Crumble the Italian sausage into the skillet and cook until browned (8-10 minutes), allowing flavors to meld.
  3. Pour in canned tomatoes with their juices. Break them up with a spoon, season with salt and pepper, and let simmer for 30 minutes.
  4. While the ragu simmers, boil water in a separate pot. Gradually whisk in polenta until thickened and creamy (about 5 minutes).
  5. Stir fresh basil into the ragu just before serving. Serve hot over polenta topped with grated Parmesan.
