Description

Mango Bango, also known as Mango Sago, is a refreshing tropical dessert that combines luscious mangoes, creamy coconut milk, and chewy sago pearls. This delightful treat delivers a burst of vibrant flavors and textures, making it perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re hosting a summer party or enjoying a sweet snack at home, Mango Bango is sure to impress!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe mangoes (peeled and diced)
  • 1 cup sago pearls
  • 1 can (13.5 oz) full-fat coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 4 cups water (for cooking sago)
  • Optional: Fresh fruits or toasted coconut flakes for topping

Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil. Add the sago pearls and cook until translucent, about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Drain the cooked sago in a fine mesh strainer and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the coconut milk and sugar until dissolved.
  4. Gently fold in the cooled sago pearls and diced mango, ensuring not to mash them.
  5. Transfer the mixture into serving cups or bowls and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.
