  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups peeled, chopped peaches (fresh or canned)
  • 1 cup toasted pecans, chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Add to the yeast mixture along with softened butter and eggs; mix until combined.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Prepare the filling by mixing peaches, brown sugar, cinnamon, and pecans in a bowl.
  6. Melt butter with brown sugar in a saucepan over low heat to create the sticky topping.
  7. Roll out the dough, spread the filling on top, roll it up tightly, slice into buns, and place them in a greased baking dish with the sticky topping.
