Instructions
- Prepare the Dough:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and 1/4 cup powdered sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the Dry Ingredients:
- Gradually add the flour and salt to the butter mixture, mixing until incorporated.
- Fold in the chopped walnuts or pecans.
- Shape the Cookies:
- Roll the dough into small 1-inch balls and place them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake:
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are lightly golden.
- Cool and Coat with Sugar:
- Allow the cookies to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet, then roll them in powdered sugar while still warm.
- Let them cool completely before rolling in powdered sugar again.

- Once fully cooled and coated, enjoy these delicate cookies with a cup of tea or coffee.
