- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium)
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, egg, soy sauce, salt, and pepper until just combined.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Form patties and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until browned.
- Remove patties; add mushrooms to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
- Gradually pour in beef broth while scraping the skillet's bottom. Simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return patties to the skillet and simmer in gravy on low heat for another 5 minutes.
