  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced against the grain
  • 2 medium yellow onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup bell peppers (red, yellow, or green), sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate the sliced beef in soy sauce, cornstarch mixture, and brown sugar for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté minced garlic and onions until translucent.
  3. Add bell peppers and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Push veggies aside; add marinated beef to the skillet. Cook until browned (about 4-5 minutes).
  5. Return all ingredients to the center; add any remaining marinade and stir until thickened (2-3 minutes).
  6. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
