Description

Savor a delicious high protein spinach artichoke pizza with a crispy whole wheat crust and creamy topping, perfect for any meal or gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 whole wheat pizza dough (12 oz)
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 can (14 oz) marinated artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 4 oz low-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded (divided)
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a floured surface to about 12 inches in diameter.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté chopped spinach and artichokes until wilted.
  4. In a bowl, combine cream cheese with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and half of the mozzarella until smooth.
  5. Spread the creamy mixture evenly over the prepared dough. Top with sautéed spinach and artichokes, then sprinkle remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
