- 12 jumbo pasta shells
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves (chopped)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Boil salted water and cook the jumbo shells until al dente.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Drain shells and cool slightly. Fill each shell with the ricotta mixture.
- Spread marinara sauce in a baking dish; arrange filled shells on top. Pour remaining sauce over shells and sprinkle with leftover mozzarella.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
