Description

  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves (chopped)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Boil salted water and cook the jumbo shells until al dente.
  2. In a bowl, mix ricotta, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Drain shells and cool slightly. Fill each shell with the ricotta mixture.
  4. Spread marinara sauce in a baking dish; arrange filled shells on top. Pour remaining sauce over shells and sprinkle with leftover mozzarella.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
