- 4 cups day-old bread, torn into pieces
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 stalks celery, finely chopped
- 2 tsp dried thyme
- 2 tsp dried sage
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with nonstick spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the torn bread pieces.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the onion and celery until tender (about 5 minutes).
- Add the sautéed vegetables to the bowl with the bread along with thyme, sage, salt, pepper, and beaten eggs. Mix well.
- Form mixture into golf ball-sized balls and place them in the greased baking dish.
