  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (approx. 1.5 lbs)
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger (grated)
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions (chopped for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil until combined.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a resealable bag and pour marinade over them. Seal tightly while pressing out excess air.
  3. Marinate chicken in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight.
  4. Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade (discard leftover marinade) and grill for 6-7 minutes per side until cooked through.
  5. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing; top with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
