  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 28 oz canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp dried basil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper until well blended.
  3. Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. While baking, heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in crushed tomatoes and dried basil; let it simmer.
  6. Once meatballs are done cooking, add them to the sauce for an additional 5 minutes before serving.
