  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, orange juice, zest, garlic, and brown sugar. Marinate chicken for at least 20 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, combine rice vinegar and cornstarch until smooth; then stir in more orange juice, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook marinated chicken until golden brown (6-8 minutes).
  5. Pour sauce over chicken and simmer until thickened (about 5 minutes).
  6. Serve garnished with green onions or sesame seeds.
