  • 1 cup whole milk, warm
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup pistachios, chopped
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add melted butter, eggs, and frothy yeast mixture; stir until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in an oiled bowl and let rise covered in a warm place until doubled (about 1 hour).
  5. Prepare filling by mixing cranberries, chopped pistachios, sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter.
  6. Roll out risen dough into a rectangle, spread filling evenly, roll tightly into a log.
  7. Cut the log lengthwise and twist halves together to form a wreath; place on a baking sheet.
  8. Let rise again for 30 minutes while preheating oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
