- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 24 chocolate kisses (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter with granulated and brown sugars until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla.
- Gradually blend the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop tablespoons of dough onto prepared sheets, two inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
- Immediately after removing from the oven, press a chocolate kiss into each cookie.
