- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes in juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil, for garnish
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add canned tomatoes with their juice and season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in uncooked spaghetti, covering it with enough water or broth to submerge by an inch.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer uncovered for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until spaghetti is al dente.
- Remove from heat and stir in fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese. Serve hot.
