Ingredients

  • 2 slices ciabatta bread
  • 4 oz sliced ham (preferably smoked or honey-glazed)
  • 2 oz Swiss cheese
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your panini press or skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread Dijon mustard on one side of each slice of ciabatta.
  3. Layer ham and Swiss cheese on the mustard side of one slice, then cover with the other slice.
  4. Butter the outer sides of both slices generously to achieve a golden crust.
  5. Place the sandwich in the heated press or skillet, pressing down gently if using a skillet.
  6. Cook for about 3-5 minutes until the bread is golden and the cheese has melted. Flip halfway through if using a skillet.
  7. Remove from heat, slice diagonally, and serve hot.
