  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian-seasoned)
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, parsley, and egg. Mix until just combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. While baking, heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, and basil; let simmer for about 10 minutes.
  6. Once meatballs are cooked, gently add them to the sauce and let them soak up the flavor for an additional five minutes before serving.
