  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing in the vanilla and peppermint extracts until combined.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  6. Gently fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop rounded cookie dough onto prepared sheets about 2 inches apart and bake for 10–12 minutes until set but soft in the center.
  8. Allow cooling slightly on wire racks before enjoying.
