  • ¾ cup warm water (110°F)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Toppings of choice (e.g., pepperoni, bell peppers)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Gradually add the yeast mixture and olive oil; mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone inside if available.
  5. Roll out the dough to about ¼ inch thick on a floured surface. Transfer to a baking sheet or hot pizza stone.
  6. Brush dough with olive oil; spread pizza sauce evenly over it.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and desired toppings on top.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
