Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 35 tsp green food coloring
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time followed by vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Stir in green food coloring until desired shade is reached.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  6. While cookies cool, prepare the buttercream dip by beating together powdered sugar, softened butter, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
  7. Serve cookies with the creamy buttercream dip and enjoy!
