- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3–5 tsp green food coloring
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time followed by vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in green food coloring until desired shade is reached.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- While cookies cool, prepare the buttercream dip by beating together powdered sugar, softened butter, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
