  • 1 medium head Green Cabbage (about 2 lbs)
  • 1 lb lean Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Cooked Brown Rice
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) Diced Tomatoes (seasoned)
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Remove the core from the cabbage and blanch it in boiling salted water for about 5 minutes until slightly tender. Set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onions until translucent (about 5 minutes). Add garlic and ground beef, cooking until browned (approximately 8 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large bowl, mix cooked rice, diced tomatoes with juice, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and the beef mixture until well combined.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Layer some cabbage leaves in a baking dish, spoon in the mixture, and cover with more cabbage.
  5. Pour remaining diced tomatoes over the top and cover with foil. Bake for about 35 minutes until heated through.
