  • 1 cup vegan cream cheese
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup unsweetened plant-based milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian herbs
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup vegan sour cream
  • 2 tbsp fresh herbs (cilantro or chives), finely chopped

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine vegan cream cheese, garlic powder, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  2. Roll the mixture into tablespoon-sized balls and chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
  3. Set up a breading station with one bowl of flour and another with plant-based milk.
  4. Dip each ball in flour first, then in milk, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the cheese balls until golden brown on all sides (about 3 minutes per side).
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve warm with vegan sour cream mixed with fresh herbs.
