Prepare the Rice
- In a medium pot, combine the rinsed jasmine rice, water, and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the rice is tender and water is absorbed.
- Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.
Cook the Turkey
- In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the ground turkey to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Stir in the soy sauce, ground black pepper, diced bell pepper, and shredded carrot. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
Make the Sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, Sriracha, and cornstarch mixed with water until smooth.
- Pour the sauce over the cooked turkey and vegetables in the skillet. Stir well to coat and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Assemble the Bowls
- Divide the cooked rice among four bowls.
- Top each bowl with the ground turkey mixture, and garnish with chopped green onions.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious and healthy ground turkey rice bowls!
