Method
Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. This helps to flavor the pasta as it cooks.
- Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
- Once cooked, reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the pasta in a colander.
Prepare the Sauce
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. This will infuse the oil with flavor.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir frequently to prevent sticking.
- Once the cream is simmering, add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- Add the truffle oil and mix well. Taste the sauce and season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
Combine Pasta and Sauce
- Add the drained fettuccine to the skillet with the sauce. Toss gently to coat the pasta evenly.
- If the sauce is too thick, gradually add reserved pasta water until the desired consistency is reached.
Serve
- Plate the truffle pasta onto serving plates.
- Garnish with truffle shavings and chopped parsley for a fresh touch.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your luxurious truffle pasta!
