  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two round baking pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs and mix in milk and vanilla. Combine with dry ingredients until just mixed.
  4. Divide batter evenly between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
  5. Mix ricotta cheese with powdered sugar until smooth; fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Assemble the cake by layering one cake layer with half the ricotta filling, topping it with the second layer, and spreading the remaining filling on top.
