Description

  • 8 low-moisture mozzarella string cheese sticks
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs (or panko)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Cooking spray
  • Optional: Marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Prepare your breading station with three bowls: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for seasoned breadcrumbs mixed with Italian seasoning.
  2. Lightly coat each mozzarella stick in flour, dip into the egg wash, then roll in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.
  3. Place the breaded sticks on a baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes to help maintain shape during cooking.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C) and lightly spray the basket with cooking spray.
  5. Arrange the mozzarella sticks in a single layer in the basket. Mist with cooking spray and cook for 6-8 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
